This year, there will be four days of cycling events, including;
The Criteriums - Friday 12th May. A one mile circuit around the 11th century Lincoln Castle and through Bailgate. Great spectator spots at the Magna Carta, Castle Square and Bailgate areas.
Lincoln GP Sportive – Saturday 13th May. Sponsored by Impsport, the events range from 33, 60, 78 or 102 miles and are perfect for amateur cyclists looking to improve and team fun for keen cyclists and family groups. Enter at ITP EVENTS and pickup the souvenir jersey from Yourclubshop. Impsport will be based at the Yarborough Leisure Centre handing out finishers medals and t-shirts and will be on hand to chat about our custom club kit offers and generally enjoying the day!
Uphill Dash – Saturday 13th May. A series of four rider sprint races up the Michaelgate hill, parallel to Steep Hill. Winners progress through until four riders race in the grand final.
Lincoln Grand Prix – Sunday 14th May. The Lincoln Grand Prix is the race for elite male and female riders and is Britain’s oldest remaining classic one-day cycle race. Some of the UK’s top riders will take part in both races which start and finish on Castle Hill, including the KTM Impsport RT rider Kinsey McIlquham (best of luck Kinsey). Keep an eye out for their striking orange and black kit, and if you’d like what you see contact us to find out what Impsport can do for your team!
The women’s 63 mile race will begin at 9am to finish around 12pm and the men’s 103 mile race will begin at 12.30pm and ending around 4.30pm. Take a look at Course Map and see which roads are closed in and around the city for access and great views of the action.
