UCI Women's Continental Team - Alba RT

Current partners, Alba RT are keen to race at the highest level so have moved up to UCI Continental status in search of a full race calendar and opportunities to race outside the UK. We're looking forward to an exciting 2024!

In an interview with The British Continental, Bob Lyons (Team boss and founder) said "The focus was in the wrong place for rider development, and quite often, riders got pushed to one side where they should be front and centre. They should be the centre of everything. It’s not an ego trip for a team owner, it’s not just focused on the results. It’s ‘let’s get the rider in the right place and give them the best chance to develop and make that next step."

Kate Richardson stands as evidence of Alba's commitment to nurturing talent. Her outstanding development last season, evolving from a promising rookie to a podium contender within a year, was truly extraordinary. The Scottish cyclist consistently shone in the Tour Series and achieved top-ten places in the National Road Series. Victory at the Rás na mBan lead Kate to a rewarding move to the Lifeplus-Wahoo team, plus squad places for Team Scotland and GB.

We are thrilled to extend our partnership as the official provider of custom kits for Alba RT, and we eagerly anticipate a fulfilling 2024 ahead.
